Testimony : Corentin Massin, CESEM Franco-Irish Programme graduate

Corentin I got my baccalaureate at Saint Jean de Passy High School. At that time I didn't have a clear career plan. CESEM was the perfect solution for me, combining general studies, international experience and a pragmatic approach.
I spent the first two years of my CESEM course in Dublin, Ireland. It was a genuine life experience, just after my baccalaureate. I learnt to be independent and open minded, and became bilingual.
I did a first internship to discover the world of work at Euro-RSCG – Havas in Dublin. My two years back in Reims were extremely intensive. In the third year, my career plan became clearer and more definite: I wanted to specialise in Finance. So I carried out my management internship in Paris at the investment bank BNP-Paribas, in the derivatives middle office.
Back at CESEM in the fourth year, I launched myself into a great human experience as vice-president of the student committee.
I finished my course with a long dissertation on “The impact of derivatives on the stability of financial markets”.
On reflexion, I decided to try for the parallel Sup de Co Reims entrance exam and I joined the second year of the Master's programme. The advantage of this programme is undoubtedly the à la carte curriculum and the wide range of specialised electives offered. Personally I decided to prepare for the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and to follow two other Finance electives.
My career objective? I would like to combine my Finance and language skills and join an investment bank in London.
